Jolla tried to deliver more tablets, now sold by others on Taobao  

After Jolla's financial situation was partially resolved in December 2015 they did their best to deliver more slates to the Jolla Tablet campaign participants on Indiegogo. Jolla got 540 more, missed 400 slates already sold to others, and had to promise almost 10 000 backers a refund in two portions. Juhani Lassila from Jolla was very transparent on the China situation when I asked about it.

Last week was very busy for Jolla, but few issues delaying the process by couple of days were catch up during the weekend by hard working Sailors. The first batch of Jolla Tablets is now complete and is told to look great!

Marko Saukko, Chief Engineer at Jolla shared technical details on the development process from the last week at Jolla blog, here's a version in (just a bit) less technical form.

Jolla is available in China mainland via Taobao

[Official] Jolla is available also in China mainland

Taobao, a giant online store in China, have been selling Sailfish OS Jolla smartphone already for a while.

Jolla does not sell to China, but product is available in China via Jolla channel partner to order as a Hong Kong import product from Taobao. Jolla Oy has confirmed that this retailer belongs to one of their channel partners.

Are we seeing the next price cut soon?
Jolla has not promised changes to the prices in the close future, but this is clearly expected by customers right at, or soon after, entering the new markets in Asia

How about Russian markets?
Customers from Russia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan can already order their Jolla phones via official distributor Mobile Invest
