Jolla's funding totals up to 70M USD

Surviving against the big players in the mobile industry is a lot about funding, at least until a start-up gets all their sails up. Jolla, a Finnish company developing Sailfish OS mobile operating system, has struggled for six years against the real big players like Google's Android and that hasn't always been easy. One of the former Nokia directors told them in the beginning that they will need at least 100M USD to break into the business they aim at. Reaching the end of 5th financing round, Jolla has now received 70% of that, but they are still far away of their goal.

Step by step guide for a workaround to get Facebook Messenger as a Sailfish OS account on Jolla Phone, Jolla Tablet or any other Sailfish OS device. Does not require Android support. Using your phone number or your unique FB-ID when logging in you will also have all your Facebook contacts integrated to the People app.

This workaround is tested to work on September 2017 using Sailfish OS 2.0.4.14 and 2.1.0.11. The test was done using a phone number known by Facebook. This workaround should work on all Sailfish OS versions.

In autumn 2015 there were sad news: Employees laid off, debts on hold, file for debt restructuring. Jolla's 3rd death valley, pretty close to actual bankruptcy, was passed on December and now Jolla shares quite positive news.
This is a news analysis on Jolla's Press Release published on May 3, 2016, reflecting the latest news to those shared back in 2015. Sailfish OS seems to be having the sails up quite well right now. Will there be some wind too?
and update on features and Sailfish OS releases

Updated on April 20, 2016. On the unfortunate Jolla Tablet campaign, Jolla is currently sending new invitations. Earlier, an email sent to all Indiegogo contributors mentioned April 14, 2016 as the last day to finalize the order and April 16, 2016 as the last day to fill a refund form. Also a reminder on this was sent via email later. Currently, new invitations are sent to those who are ignoring the invitation, and new invitations are supposed to roll out weekly as long as none of them are ignored any more.

Additional to an important reminder, there's an interesting update: Support for biometric scanner for Sailfish OS is on the way.
