January 19, 2016: Sailfish OS 2.0.1.7 Taalojärvi (Early access)
April 28, 2016: Sailfish OS 2.0.1.11 Taalojärvi (Early Access)
Jolla has released their next Sailfish OS system update to the users signed into the Early Access program. The Early Access group is testing the release before it's shared for everybody.
Sailfish OS 2.0.1 Taalojärvi - First info
Update, April 28, 2016: 2nd test round starts
After some bug fixing and security patching, Jolla has today released another Early Access version for test users. A bug on Sailfish OS 2.0.1.7 affecting to received phone calls getting ignored might not be fixed quite yet, but more logs are now enabled to co-operate with the testers. Incoming calls might still get silenced after a few seconds. If not fixed, this release is at least addressing the issue.
Sailfish OS 2.0.1.11 carries 2 new security updates, the more important being a fix for glibc vulnerability CVE-2015-7547. The other fix is for CVE-2016-0800
And a few more updates included on 2.0.1.11, not yet on 2.0.1.7:
If Sailfish OS 2.0.1.11 Taalojärvi is found stable enough in the Early Adopter testing, a public release for phones can be expected in a week or two. The latest public release
Update, February 5, 2016: Public release delayed
Test group "Early Adopters" has reported several bugs, and Jolla has not released this system update to everybody yet. Following typical schedule, public release is released in a week after test release IF it has been found stable enough. This time also fixing some of the found issues seems to take longer, as also the Early Adopter team is still waiting for fixed release to be tested.
It seems there will be yet another test release, added by another testing week before everybody get their hands on the update. You can find all bug reports sent by Early Adopters here, vote up for those you'd like to see fixed prior.
For an unknown reason, Sailfish OS 2.0.1 Taalojärvi has been available to all Jolla Tablet users for download, even for those not signed into the Early Adapter program. This might be another bug in the update service itself. There are not many, as only 121 tablets have been shipped so far.

ReplyDeleteIn my case, MTP connection with Windows 10 works well. (2.0.1.7 Taalojärvi)
ReplyDeleteCant install it. stuck on optimalization on memory format part
ReplyDeleteTry to move some files to SD Card / computer, and uninstall some unnecessary apps. Optimization might require a lot of free space, sometimes even 6GB. Hope it helps
Deletefirst four alphabets in bottom line of 2/2 of hindi keyboard are giving wrong result when pressed.

hum maybe a peanuts details, and maybe embarrassing, but the old logo of sailfish is still used for the 2.0.1.11 by the option app at the update menu.... oups
ReplyDeleteAs i told that's peanut
Well 2.0.1 was originally released in the times of old logo (public for the Tablet back then), and got a hotfix after the logo was changed. Maybe the logo update was not seen too important yet, sailors focusing on the needed fixes. Nice that you noticed though.
