Russian company to use Sailfish OS components

Update, May 11, 2016: Jolla officially confirms licensing of Sailfish OS to a Russian company "Open Mobile Platform".May 6, 2016, Innopolis, Tatarstan, Russia. New company "Открытая мобильная платформа" (Open Mobile Platform) is about to begin the development of domestic Russian operating system for mobile devices. The new mobile operating system is suggested to be based on components of Sailfish OS. The company is already hiring employees. Russia aims to reduce the use of foreign mobile operating systems from the current 95% to 75% by 2020, and to 50% by 2025. Android and iOS down?

Sailfish OS 2.0.1.11 Taalojärvi for Jolla Phone
On May 9, 2016 after a long wait of more than 6 months since the previous public release 2.0.0.10, Jolla today released a system update for Jolla Phone. Jolla Tablets got this update already a week ago. Early access testing phase took long while Jolla was hunting down a bug affecting to received phone calls. In autumn 2015 there were sad news: Employees laid off, debts on hold, file for debt restructuring. Updated on April 20, 2016. On the unfortunate Jolla Tablet campaign, Jolla is currently sending new invitations. Earlier, an email sent to all Indiegogo contributors mentioned April 14, 2016 as the last day to finalize the order and April 16, 2016 as the last day to fill a refund form. Also a reminder on this was sent via email later. Currently, new invitations are sent to those who are ignoring the invitation, and new invitations are supposed to roll out weekly as long as none of them are ignored any more.Additional to an important reminder, there's an interesting update: Support for biometric scanner for Sailfish OS is on the way.

After Jolla's financial situation was partially resolved in December 2015 they did their best to deliver more slates to the Jolla Tablet campaign participants on Indiegogo. Jolla got 540 more, missed 400 slates already sold to others, and had to promise almost 10 000 backers a refund in two portions.
